PLAYING CARDS

The card design for Magic Land emphasizes subtle details and visual cohesion. A carefully selected color palette, recurring elements, and simple shapes were used to maintain clarity and consistency. Small touches such as dragon scales and a creative focus on the dragon’s tail add depth and charm without overwhelming the visuals. These design choices contribute to an immersive experience, inviting players to discover hidden details and enhancing the game’s understated, enchanting aesthetic.

Box and My Contributions

My team and I split up the work of the project evenly to create the mystical game of MagicLand. For my contributions, my primary responsbilities were to design the game’s primary logo and box. The box serves as the first visual the players lay their eyes on, so I used it as a function piece as well as a storytelling tool. My group decided that the game box would be made to look like a old fairytale book, so I took inspiration from old novels to create a design that captured a magical tone. Every detail was carefully thought out to reflect an enchanting visual experience, inviting players to experience a new world. This part of the project was my main focus, and allowed me to discover a new style of design that I was unfamilar with before. This project allowed me to work in a group setting and contribute to a powerful final product.
